Nonlinear photonics and quantum technologies are rapidly developing areas of modern physics.
Global technological challenges include increasing the capacity of fiber-optic communication, development of a new electronics, new types of laser systems, and implementation of quantum computing.

Physical Platform of Nonlinear Photonic Technologies and Systems
Laboratory of Nonlinear Photonics is based at NSU. Research results include scientific demonstration of laminar-turbulent transition in fiber lasers and reverse four-wave mixing effect.

Super Channels in Fiber Communication Lines
The project is aimed at creation of high-speed fiber-optic communication lines with data rates up to 100 terabit per second.

Physics of New Pulsed Fiber Laser Systems
The project is devoted to a detailed study of the physics of fiber lasers.

Development of New Materials and Quantum Photonic Devices Based on Them
The project is aimed at modification of the optical properties of the fiber to create new classes of fiber-optic devices (including sensors).

Physics of High-Energy Radiation Generators with Mode-Locking
For the first time an experimental comparison of the efficiency of the second harmonic generation of coherent and incoherent pulses of mode-locked picosecond fiber laser has been performed.

Development of Methods for the Registration and Investigation of the Dynamic Nonlinear Modes of Light Propagation in Long Fiber Systems
The project is dedicated to new modes of fiber lasers generation.
